An easy art project for a rainy afternoon. All you need are some little boxes, an A3 page, some glue and paint. I emptied my medicine cabinet - there always seems to be some expired medicine to throw out and these boxes work well. Stick these along your page and once your glue is dry, paint your picture. A lovely 3D city skyline!
Big One did this project beautifully. I just added a little white to the sea and red to the sky to give the picture a bit more depth. I was hoping to link this art project to a book about the city. Any suggestions?

That looks like a fun project! Maybe we'll give that a try this week. We haven't done any 3-D painting in a while...
Your 3D city skyline artwork is wonderful. Such a neat idea to use boxes. My children would love to create this - it involves two of their most favourite things to do: glue and paint. Such a simple artwork, yet so effective.
I cannot seem to think of any books that feature stories involving cities.
I really liked the analogy about mushrooms and orchids in your previous posts - how very true.
Tell BIG ONE his art is AWESOME!!!!
Wow that looks so great. Thanks for visiting my blog and becoming a follower, I like your blog too :)
That looks like a great project that would work well for multiple age rages...we'll have to try it one of these rainy days. Thanks for the idea!
My daughter likes art a lot! I think she'd enjoy doing a 3-D art piece like this. Looks great!
The only book I can think of is Curious George in the Big City.
I LOVE THIS SOOOOO MUCH! Going to be collecting my medicine boxes so my daughter can do this activity.
Ciao Georgia, questo lavoro lo copierò sicuramente, brava!
